Why is planting koala trees such rewarding volunteer work in northern NSW?

There are so many reasons why helping us plant our koala wildlife corridor will benefit you just as much as it’s already helping our local koala population.

For starters, it’s a type of volunteer work in northern NSW that’s all about planting hope – hope for koalas, for the planet and for all of us.

Our plantings are also unique in the way that they connect individuals, families, farmers, communities and Indigenous and Landcare groups in a collaborative effort to prove, especially to our children, that making a difference is not just possible, it’s happening right now.

And then there’s the fact that saving koalas has never been more important. With the extinction of Australia’s east-coast koala population being a very real possibility, every tree planted matters.

To date, Bangalow Koalas has planted more than 410,000 trees in our bid to create a koala wildlife corridor across NSW’s Northern Rivers region but we need your help to reach our ‘500,000 by 2025’ target.
